My kids first snow!!

Woohoo!! Our mountain had the first big snow of the season!! We bundled the kids up, packed the boogie boards, and up we went!

It's bad for tourism ("Hey honey, I know, let's escape this thirty below wind chill factor & snow & head to Hawaii, yea, I know it's a months salary to fly there & two months to say but it's WARM.....:")



Get 'em up there during a snow storm. I was around 20 before I ever saw snow fall from the sky.

Snow only happens on Mauna Kea - a little over an hour's drive away. So after our romp in the snow we can drive down and thaw on the beach

We did that in LA. On a clear day, you could go skiing, & be home in time to lounge on the beach, looking at the resort areas in the near distance.

Over here you only get snow at over 2000m ASL.
