no divorce

Gee that would have been great for my first marriage. I'd have took the money and run....

What about theoretical communal property like the house?

What fun.

Common law if nothing else...it'll all work out the same.

Funny how I find myself
In love with you
If I could buy my reasoning
I would pay to lose
One half won't do
I've asked myself how much do you
Commit yourself
It's my life
Don't you forget
It's my life
It never ends
Funny how I blind myself
I never knew
If I was sometimes played upon
Afraid to lose
I would tell myself what good you do
Convince myself
It's my life
Don't you forget
It's my life
It never ends
I would ask myself how much do you
Commit yourself
It's my life
Don't you forget
Caught in the crowd
It never ends

I cannot believe no one else has seen the most obvious solution to this dilemma.

You two simply have to get married now so the divorce can be final.

See? We government employees have all the answers.

Are you out of your mind. We've gone through it once together, you think I want to go through it a second time to the same person???

To make the divorce fully valid, you hafta be legally married. Since y'all weren't, you'll have to marry one another before your divorce hearing.

Says so right here in the manual, page 518, paragraph 14, section 6B, line 2.

We were legally married, i have the paperwork for it. It just never got registered, therefore, I am sending the paperwork to the Government so that they can register it, send me a copy of the marriage certificate and then we move forward with the divorce.

I say DO IT! ... get remarried and then divorced. Think of the gifts. You could make out like bandits.

It would put that pesky 'communal property' split into the easy column...:D
