I woulda showed up on my BSA 650 Lightning.
Gas was around 45¢ a gallon. Yeah, $18.99 from upstate NY might have been stretching it though. Plus we would have had to correspond by mail since we didn't have personal computers or the whole intra-web thingie.

I think they had the wooden train cars by that time... you wouldn't want to ride one, though, since the oil lamps would swing with the bumps and curves and had a tendency to light the whole car on fire.
