Something my mother can add to this:
Last night we were talking abut having a "movie in the courtyard" night on Thursday since the high school doesn't have school on Friday and I forgot for the moment that my younger kids do have school. My mom looks at my daughter and goes, "you have school on Friday? Wow. Guess it sucks to be you."

It's so cute when parents pick up modern slang, isn't it?

I remember once my mom was going to spank me for something I had done but the spanking wasn't very effective because it didn't hurt. so she told me she was gonna hit me till I cried. i fell on the floor screaming and crying. she busted out laughing.
