perceptions of your fellow OTC'ers

When we all progress to that next level in our relationships and actually exchange pleasantries over the phone and learn about our friends in greater depth and hear their voices ... my question is this:

When you know what someone sounds like and get a feel for their dialect and delivery speed in speech ... Do you find yourself reading their posts but hearing their voice in your mind? If you've met them face to face, do you find yourself attaching their mannerisms as well?

I live on the wrong side of the atlantic for all that old fashioned phone malarky.............I'd need a second mortgage to phone someone :eh:

Never met any of the OTC'ers.....so got no conceptions of their mannerisms to apply......so I just make some up for them :)

phonesover there are a chrome plated bitch, paying for local calls. Sorta like cell phones here, but without the convienience.

I do, everyone i've spoken with now has a voice on the boards...and those that I haven't spoken with as yet all have a voice i made just for them :D

LOL

me too

Paul... Shes not from there. She shouldn't have a southern belle accent.

Now my voice would blow your mind since I've been in Georgia since the age of 6 weeks. You would expect a total entrenched southern accent... but I don't. I don't know if I have an accent of any kind.

i was caught off guard by Tonk's voice too. nothing like i had expected it. very sweet voice.

I know Bish, Paul and Prof in real life. Every time I read one of their posts, I hear and see them speaking in my mind. Mannerism and everything.

Sad really, my imagination is ever so much more fertile than reality :)
