Not is its brand new.. but you do need to peek in there to see what is directly above the power source. An old comp of mine had a poorly vented power supply with the HD parked one inch above it in an envelope that got awful hot and messed it up over time.

Nah man, it's too unpredictable to be heat-related. Besides - the PSU is mounted vertically and there's nothing above it. This is a tiny little mATX case. Temps/power requirements shouldn't be an issue as I set the thing up on a rig with no case and a 431W PSU.

Don't suggest stuff dude, just get on yer knees and pray!

Shite, locked up again (CPU@44C so definitely not overheating). This is the longest it's been up before locking, but that doesn't really mean much. Stupid ol' skool VIA chipsets! :mad2:

I've reset the fail-safe BIOS defaults now. If that fixes things then I guess I'll just have to pick through the settings one by one, a day at a time to find the cause. Aww.....
