Powell speech to the UN

Iraq on US (Powell's) statement: "assumptions, presumptions, and speculation..."

Sadly, I have to agree....

hahaha :lloyd:

It was sooooooooooo riveting that I fell asleep not long after I posted how interested I'd be to see the rebuts, I woke up halfway through Iraq's guy yapping. Missed em all.

ah well, I guess there'll be a jillion recaps and I can guess what everyone said anyway.

I was hoping for more than this. It really doesn't seem like there was much in the way of hard evidence. Certainly if this was a criminal court, I don't think there would be a conviction.

They're picking apart Powell's presentation piece by piece on the radio right now.

CNBC actually broke away from it a few minutes into Iraq's response...:confuse3: Are they retarded? I had to switch to CNN to catch the rest....

Really?! They switched off during Iraq's speaker?

What the hell?

Guess we know that MSNBC poll was completely unbiased then too, huh?

I'm still listening to a call-in program and many of the callers are complaining that their broadcast was cut off right after Powell spoke.

Doesn't that just cast doubt on the whole proceedings?

It's bad...they should have shown it all or none...the Toronto news channel did that too, so I switched to BBC, it stayed on interviews till I passed out :lloyd:

It was intriguing. Listening to the cold, brutal truth without allowing emotional interference. He didn't add much new information but he did do a spectacular job in presenting evidence. For those of you wanna-be French. Ask yourself this, would you prefer our president being wrong and ridding the world of a dictator or would you prefer a mushroom cloud over paris or a nerve gas canister being uncorked at California & Van Ness? Maybe you'd prefer anthrax in the US Senate.
