Well, shit... here I thought I was needed here... but I didn't post for a few days and you guys made it along fine without me... 
I feel like the rooster in Rock-a-Doodle, who sings for the sun to come up every morning, until one morning the bad guys delay him so he can't get there to sing in time and the sun rises anyway.
