It's called interpretation, Gonz. Lots of people use it. The separation of chcrch and state is a well known precedent to most Americans.
 
it is not word for word in there no but the freedom of religion is in there. i think that means that there is something there about separating the two.

Actually seperation of church & state started as a ruling by the Supreme Court in in the mid-20's & followed up again in the 40's.

It does not exist as a law. If it did I'd stop bitching...well, no I wouldn't because that violates the 1st...

How about also applying the 14th amendment?
...No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States;...
