florida is great, really worth a visit...make sure to check out walt disney world D), sea world (baby shamu is most likely not a baby anymore since my visit 14 yrs ago ) and kennedy space center.
if you like diving, then florida is the place to be!!

i wouldn't recommend miami, at least i thought it was crap.

then a bit more west: grand canyon, monument valley...in texas el paso is nice, austin, san antonio and houston is nice. old tucson is nice as well btw...
