Well put.
:D

Saddamn probably hasn't shed a tear seeing as how he himself tried to have his offspring killed. Oh and i see that you have a happy smilie on the top your post but please give these men respect at the possible time of their death. Evil or not every man deserves to be mourned...not laughed at the passing point.

I don't agree, buttcrack. I think there are people who don't deserve to be mourned, and I believe these guys qualify.

Edit: One criteria; Is the world a better place now that they're gone? Kind of subjective, I'll grant you.

Some might say they followed his father footsteps so their fate was sealed and it isn't their fault but then again there are many arguments against that. So it is quite subjective but i know in many people eyes..it is nothing but good.

There you get to the old question. A set of pathetic parents raise a little piece of shit killer. Is it the childs fault or is the fault of the parents. In our society, when you reach a certain age, around 13 most places now, it is the full responsibility of the child.

While I don't necessarily agree with Buttcrack on Uday and brother deserving sympathy; I also don't think Saddam won't/doesn't feel something for his offspring.

I'm quite happy they are dead, though, if it proves to be true. No matter what good they might possibly possess, the reports of torture, rape, and other unimaginable terrors tells me they deserve to die.

Though, I'm a fan of the death penalty in general.

I'd like to read more about the reported attempt to kill his own sons. While I don't deny it, I can't imagine Saddam "trying" to kill someone and not succeeding.

I believe you're confused with where he did kill his son-in-laws. They defected during the last Gulf war and Saddam had convinced them to come back sometime over the last 10 years. Of course as soon as they returned they were summarily executed. He has little regard for life, but I don't think he's nuts enough to kill his own son. Now one of them did get in trouble for being "Too Rough" with prisoners and such, and got a demotion, but never an attempt on their lives, at least not from Saddam.

Yeah but one of them was crippled (cant remember if it it was U or Q) and wheelchairalised in an assisination attempt. I wouldnt have put it past Saddam if he found that they were trying to usurp him

Oh in that case I wouldn't either, but I don't think it was Saddam who tried that assassination. As Rose said, if he would have tried, he would have succeeded.
