Sars bug deadlier than aids says doc

If you want to get really technical, there is only one cause of death. Lack of oxygen to the brain. Everything else just causes that. So, I guess we have nothing to worry about, huh?

death kills people. thats what we all die of technically. because we die.:grim:

No one ever died from carbon dioxide poisoning either. It's mearly the lack of oxygen that kills. Yet a great many people have died from lack of oxygen.

That was stated earlier.

RD you know that big long string of things was actually supposed to be a piss-take, not a serious argument.. :p

Somehow I find it hard to believe that SARS could be compaired to AIDS, as AIDS is nearly 100% fatality whereas SARS patients often have a full recovery.

Well we know that now. :D When this was posted we didn't know so much about it.

Sure we did...same with whatever the mosquito borne African disease making it's way west is called 'cause I forgot...it gives a really worse than average case of the flu. But it makes headlines.

Well geez Gonz. Nobody is going to tune in to "some of us are going to get sick then most of those will get better." Doesn't
"Oh my gawd, we're all going to die!!!"
grab your attention better? :D

Edit: Of course you know that I prefer "The end is neer."

I read recently that they misestimated the cases of SARS and the deaths related in montreal alone...its something like 10x higher.

I worry more about c.difficile now :(
