Scott Peterson verdict

In Cali, first degree assures the ability to sentence the death penalty. It's not automatic. It could be Life w/o parole or XXX years. Depends on the jury.

Probably get 25-life if he's lucky. If not... :electric chair:

I dont think there are any states that still use the chair. Most have been using lethal injection

That's what I was gonna say...that's what they said on CNN

I think it was pretty obvious what was going on when they arrested him... with $25,000 IN CASH on him, in SAN DIEGO... which, may I remind you, is a stone's throw from Mexico... and a six- or seven-hour drive from Modesto.

I thought it was 10,000 cash?

anyway I will have to say he seemed to do most everything he could to
make himself look guilty.
It just seems funny that someone that stupid wouldn't leave some Real heavy
duty evidence behind.

I hope this is right, but if I recall correctly, in California first degree murder is Life, but death is an option under special circumstances, such as a double murder. This case qualifies. I doubt there will be a death sentance.

I'd like to see him live with the guilt. Maybe pictures of infants superglued to his cell walls?

What guilt? He murdered his own unborn child. He murdered his wife. He was already screwing around on her. The only thing this bastard is sorry for is getting caught.

I can see this getting turned over on appeal...Damned DA didn't do his job right...cops didn't do their jobs right...Let's see what the judge does...:grumpy:

I think it was a sentence from the heart too much.
Shit if he hadn't had the affair with Amber, and they hadn't taped
those phone calls, he'd probably be free right now.
Shit these jurors seem, from what I hear, more concerned about
book deals than a mans life.

I can see it getting appeal.

Linkage people? We didnt get this on our side of the Pond, wouldn't mind seeing what all this kerfuffle is about

Go here...

I think this will get a turn-over on appeal as well. I can also see this case being used as a reason for having "professional" juries...

I wouldn't bother. You're not missing much.

So, how's Hollyrood coming?

See...they saw his house was all clean...like someone had bleached everything...but...on CSI they use special lights to see if blood was ever on the floor...even years before..why didn't they use that in this case??? :alienhuh:

They did. They found 2 very small blood spots in different parts of the house.
They were his blood.
So they just concluded that he musta dun-it outside the house, or somethin'.
