This is where we're heading, we westerners, with the rise & spread of Islam. I have to agree that if she knew the rules (or they are at least clear) she was in violation. Whatever will the ACLU do with this one?

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A Central Florida woman was fired from her job after eating "unclean" meat and violating a reported company policy that pork and pork products are not permissible on company premises, according to Local 6 News.

Lina Morales was hired as an administrative assistant at Rising Star -- a Central Florida telecommunications company with strong Muslim ties, Local 6 News reported.

However, 10 months after being hired by Rising Star, religious differences led to her termination.

A rule that should haev never been in place. Luch time is your time, you are not on the clock. It is food that you are going to eat.

You can't fire someone for eating common cusine.

The enemy is Islam, the enemy is not Islam, Yep, Kerry's the waffler allright.

Similar thing happening here in Montreal where the new owner of an appartment building has decided to no longer allow pets, because it violates the Islamic faither/belief that animals in the home are unclean. The tennants are fighting it with the rental baord and losing time and again. Some of them have lived in that building (with their pets) for over 17 years.

RM, if they are eating on company (private) property...

chcr-who said anyting about enemy or friend?

Bish-Tenets should have the upper hand in your case. They were there before the new owner. HOWEVER, the next time the lease is due...

Every apartment I've lived in has had a no-pet policy. There are other apartments out there that do allow pets but require a pet deposit. It's not a religious thing, but because pets add odor, claw marks, damaged carpet, etc.

It’s usually customary to provide a lounge of sorts for employees. They are not on the clock it’s their time to act with in reason as they see fit. If you want to dictate what is acceptable provide lunch for them. So what are they going to do when she carries it aound inside her all day then craps the porcine remains into their toilet?

I am all for private property rights, I think someone should be able to refuse to anyone thwey please. If they go out of business so be it.

If it’s a month-to-month they give a 30-day and you have to move.

they can't say no pets here in Ontario

Landlord Tenant's Act said:
