That's rechargeables, I guess they can be considered permanent. Although I thought they dissipated after a while too. But yeah, batteries can get really expensive the more you use the PDA.
 
You can't change this thing's batteries. There's no battery door, and no screws to open the case. If the batteries fail, you have to send it back to Palm for servicing.
 
Is their profit margin that bad now, that they feel the need to bilk customers out of a few more bucks that way?
 
Prof...now why didn't ya tell me about that deal? I have the original Palm...but the accesories still work on it.
