Summer is here

100% Pure Canadian Beef
the BBQ is working, the kids are loving it, went fishing today, avery almost caught a duck, he did catch a fish, and I watched with awe as Leslie removed said fish from the hook.

I of course in my infinite wisdom decided to forgo sunscreen (I forgot) and am feeling the downside of summer.

Next week kids are gone, so We are gonna go to the downtown festival and laugh at people with kids.

I went to the Jay's game and forgot sunscreen...my left arm hates me for it.

So it's what, 40 in Canada now? No idea what that equates to in metric temp either.

I'm told we hit 101 last week. I know it felt like it.

Thankfully we're in a cool down here, mid twenties forecast for the week.

We've hit 40 though, a couple (few?) weeks ago. 43 was the high up here the one day. 40=104

The fishing was fun, it was the second year of a new annual event.

Also this weekend, there was an air show on the nearby base, so we got to see the Snowbirds fly over every couple hours all weekend. That was coooooooooooool!!

*was smart enough to wear sunscreen*
*runs away*

All of you enjoying Summer can politely go and fuck yourself :mope:
I don't really think I can, actually. I'm nowhere near that limber. Certainly not politely.

You forgot the part about ...apologized to it profusely, told it sad stories of the death of socialism in Canadastan, asked its forgiveness for using hooks instead of engraven invitations & politely retuned it to the water at which time the fish turned around & spat water in her eye.

Here's to hoping she learns how to batter fry them in corn meal.

Yeah, I was gonna ask if she cleaned it and cooked it. Now, that's a real woman.

Yesterday, no, it was against the rules as it was a "no license required on the shoreline" live release day. It was a city thing put on with the Rotary Club and the Federation of Anglers and Hunters.

As a rule, no anyway. I've had salmon splattered all over my kitchen once, and I'm not doing it again, and I'm not eating it regardless, so if someone wants a fish, they can do it themself. OUTSIDE.

So the government sanctioned a day of inflicting needless pain on other living creatures solely for the entertainment of one species at the expense of another. How...progressive.

Yeah. If I'm gonna catch it, I'm at least going to validate that decision by eating it, unless it's just too damn small.

Get yer ass down here for the BBQ. I just posted the menu, and guess what...

why only your left arm?

Because the stadium has a roof which opens and so the back half is usually a bit shaded due to the roof all being back there and where I was sitting my right side wasn't being hit by as much sun due to said roof.
