I'm pretty liberal with the word as a term of endearment (sometimes with strange/unexpected repercussions.......but it's never been a big problem).

In all honesty, I don't say "I love you" very often.

I say it to my kitty cat =^_^=

I rarely say it to family for some odd reason. And the only person I'd typically say it to is possibly my BF, but that's only if I mean it, and even then it's very rarely... maybe I'm just not that much of a lovey dovey person
