On a serious note I have had them several times....the unfortunate side effect from many years of being a hockey goaltender most workouts put alot of stress on the shins and the results are shin splints!
 
I have hope though cus it sounds as if I warm up slowly and a hell of a lot and wear the right shoes, I might be able to stand them. I can't even do a brisk walk on the treadmill without getting pain but I never thought I'd need to warm up to walk. :rolleyes:

You know what, I wore my new sneakers last weekend and must have walked about a mile and a half on the boardwalk and didn't have a problem. Maybe that's it. :bgtup:
