Truth hurts, pal

But Jesus Christ doesn't say a single thing about homosexuality. If you are a Christian, then by definition you follow the teachings of Christ. Does this include "turn the other cheek" as well as having views on homosexuality that Christ Himself never gave?

Your views are your own. Why try to pretend you've been given some cosmic mandate to hold them? Or that you have some backing from a major philosophical figure?

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17 that he did "not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it". If you indeed believe that Jesus Christ is who he said he is then clearly the old testiment, which contains the law, is the word of God. From that law also came the words "abomination in the eyes of God" Leviticus 18:22.
If you're attempting to argue that homosexuality is the will of God you're going to have to do a lot better than that.

Plus, the last time I checked, no one is forced to attend any church. If one does not agree with the doctrine of that church, one is free to take their ass elsewhere. It was a sermon, not public policy.

There's a ton of churches with whose doctrine I do not agree. I don't attend them.

No S and Pee Pee in that country
Church spokespeople go to jail
for their religious beliefs

Unless of course they happen to be a-rabs?

Tell me what else Leviticus says.

Homosexuality exists so how it can it not be the will of God? Who created homosexuals if God did not?

Now that was lame
the least you could have done was to agree

how about jailing the fags for exposing their beliefs

ya know

in the interest of fairy -ness

Why? If he refers to homosexuals as a cancer on society, then he is being a bigot, because he's failing to consider that a homosexual's contribution to society is hardly to be judged solely on whether who they choose to have sex with, or spend their life with. He is being prejudiced based on sexuality.

Now, if a homosexual person said that Christians are a cancer on society, then they would be behaving as a bigot, because they would be failing to consider that a Christian is perfectly capable of performing deeds that benefit society as a whole.

I don't agree with you because your point isn't valid here. What makes a person a bigot is their inability to see past a prejudice. For example, that this man of God could not recognise that, say, a man could be a very good doctor and save many lives and that would not be diminished if he went home to his husband at night instead of his wife.

They should be paying taxes like everyone else, IMO... or would that be government 'getting into religion' in the way that religion gets into government?

He was jailed for his beliefs & for speaking them aloud. Hardly free speech.

The conviction has been cleared.

Free speech is an illusion, anyway. It's neither real nor should it be. You are not allowed to threaten, provoke or intimidate people.

Hey now. Cancer is a great weight loss assistant so you are clearly bigoted for failing to consider its contribution.
