United States exempt from International Criminal Court

how the hell did the subject change THAT quickly...within 3 posts....a new record :D

and what ICC is concerned...it has already no use any longer this way. exemptions undermine the ICC, so why even bother the whole concept?

an example of the different US laws.

In Arizona & to a lesser extent, California, if the pedestrian is not in a crosswalk they are fair game, provided you don't aim to kill. Both states, well main cities in both states, issue jaywalking tickets.

In Illinois, specifically Chicago, you walk where you want & the car had better watch out.

Roads are for cars & trucks, sidewalks for people.

Same here. One of the things that pisss me off...

Roads are for cars & trucks, sidewalks for people.
Shouldn't logic be required for all human beings? Bah, politicians...

Logic? You expect too much from the masses. Logic dictates that immersing electrical appliances in water is stupid, but there are warning labels on every electrical item you buy. Even appliances not used anywhere near water...(refrigerator, stove, etc)
And you expect those same idiots to stay out of the street?

common sense is no barrier to good old sueing. better to admit you are a barely intelligent fuckwit unable to understand that the computer is not in need of a wash while you are and get the cash.

britain is getting the same way. 'have you hurt yourself in the last 40 years? want to blame someone else and admit you are a cretin but be slightly richer?' ads all over the tv

There should be a secret law that states "Anyone admitting to being a cretin in order to gain money in a lawsuit should be immediately executed, in the most inhumane way possible."

I can see if the product is used in the way it was intended, and caused pain and suffering to anyone, but anything else should be grounds for immediate drawing and quartering...in public...

now gato, that's not nice ;)

how about, for the sake of peace, we let them get their money, then put a (fill in name here) Tax & remove them of possesion of said cash, for their own good. Hell, we can even use 1 or 2% to help them get smarter.

Can't do keel hauling anymore. The ships are just too damn big. Draging behind horses wouldn't be too bad, though...as long as they were dragged across a field of razor blades...

As long as the blades aren't new. Make 'em old, rusty & nicked.
