Besides genetics, I blame the public education system. It needs to quit trying to turn kids into Encyclopedia Britannica and start trying to turn kids into reasonable people.

Umm, no. It needs to taech kids what they need to know to have a chance at success. As to turning kids into "reasonable people", that would be the parents' job. Now, if you want to preach about the decline of parenting in this country, I'll hand you a bullhorn.

What you're espousing in entirely too close to "indoctrination". Whose idea of "reasonable" are we using, Herr Goebbels?
