I work in an insurance agency. I'm the Commercial Lines Customer Rep. and assistant to my boss.
It's a small insurance agency with only 3 other workers. My boss (who underwrites for the commercial lines), the Personal Lines underwriter, and the Personal Lines assistant.
Pay is 8 bucks an hour. Nothing fancy. I work here full time. I've been working here for about 8 months. And my boss is trying to teach me as much as she can for the commercial lines, that way after being here a year or 2, I can move on to a bigger insurance company. She takes on a new assistant every few years or so, trains them and they get hired by bigger companies. Hopefully I can do that. We do bonds, commercial general liability, commercial property, commercial auto, workers comp, etc. Walking billboard huh? Heh.
Innywho, it's nice, plus it's literally down the street from my house, and it's only a few feet from the mall which I can go to during lunch. We get in at 8:15 and leave at 5. But my boss is really flexible with the hours, in coming in late or leaving early, etc. I like this job because I'm getting the hang of it. Need a quote? j/k.
