I'm in Calgary today and it fucking freezing! I had to work outside today. Not fun when you have to untwist cat5 cable out doors with no gloves on.
The current temp is -23C.
Stupid car rental place only had minivans left too or I had to wait for a car.
At least there is one good thing about this trip I went to toys r us and saved $8.80 on a lego set for my son as they don't have a provincial tax here.

We've been lucky here - it was cold last month (lows in the 30s) but so far this month it's been mild. Mid 60s - 70s highs and mid 50s lows. But dense fog in the AM, with ~.5 mile visibility. Fog > cold, tho.

An Ice Storm Warning remains in effect until 12 PM EST /11 am
CST/ Friday.

A mixture of snow... sleet and freezing rain will develop over the
area tonight and continue into Friday morning. The precipitation
will be heavy at times after midnight. Significant ice
accumulations around one half inch are expected across much of
this area. Total snow accumulations from this storm are generally
expected to be in the 1 to 3 inch range... with up to 5 inches
possible over northern portions of the area near US Route 6.

Aw, jeez, I feel for ya, bro - I remember ice storms from when I lived in north Georgia. Ice storms suck much worse than snow. What a pain in the ass.

my street has about an inch of solid ice on it. at least in calgary they know how to drive on ice and snow. here, it's an idiotfest.

Not in the weather we were having. Walking would keep your body temp slightly up due to the physical activity of walking and you'd have less wind walking. Both would suck though.

We have guys like you in Toronto. They don't seeem to watch the weather forcast. They end up walking thier bike due to the amount of snow.
