What's on your desktop?

I've just finished reinstalling windows and all the apps I want on my notebook and changed to a new wallpaper... a painting called "Fallen Angel" by Luis Royo... so let's see what's on yours... how often do you change it? Mine get's changed when I get bored with it.

Also do you use a customised screensaver or just one ot the standard ones? I have mine customised so that it runs a slideshow from my Luis Royo Grapics folder.

It's the desktop, the picture was taken right after I had groomed her and at the time the only place I had to brush her out is right there on the desk...

I love that pic.

Here's my current one:

It's a Japanese band, D'espairsRay.

My desktop gets changed whenever my kid decides to change it. ;)

I don't use a screensaver. When I did, I used to have the time showing on the screen.

I just 'always' use the "Prairie Wind" Tiled, for my backgrounds.
It loads fast, and looks somewhat professional.

I missed that too.
I don't use screen savers. I just have it go into suspend more on video only,
after 20 mins.

(Yeah, I know, I'm boring)
I just like a common setup, and that works well on customers comps, as well as my home PCs.

Mine is my pup as seen in another thread.. can't remember which.

So - looking at AB's desktop I have a question - doesn't having all that stuff on your desktop slow down the computer? I heard that once... so I was just wondering.

I think it depends on how much physical mem you have.
I run xp-pro on a 3.0ghz p4, and only 512mb hyperx 2-2-2-5, and
periodically it does have to refresh from virtual mem.(the hd)
It's a little slow then.
I Really need another 512mb minimum. :(

Win98se/WinXPpro
IwillKK266+
VolcanoII/RadioShack paste
1.2ghz 266DDR T-bird @ 1.4
384 MB PC133
16XDVD
Plextor 712A DVDR-W
Matrox G450 32MB AGP
Viewsonic G90f 19"

I guess it depends on a person's definition of slow.:D
Anything not at least 266ddr seems slow to me.
If it isn't at least a 533fsb cpu, it seems sluggish.

My 486sx25 laptop running W95 is just plain zippy. All depends on what crap you're loading. Keep it clean.
