When you have kids to tend to all day and yu want to come in here and be with "The norm-The not so Norm" for grown up conversation????
OMG.... Patience is not one of my best subjects and thought as I got older I would be more paitent, NOT!!!!!!. Don't get me wrong love my kids, but shesh-beside Dora the explorer and blues clues and then of corse the Cartoon Channel, this is my life, my PC. Nuts or Not am I????

Atleast today get to go to mom's pool with the kids and have Mom spend some time with them-Ahhhhh-sun for me, the depressed, need sun type. Xtra :cocktail: For Me!!! Mom's hates it, but Oh well, we all know how Mom's can be. BTW-thnx for letting me vent to all, LOL

I So want to go off about poor working mothers and how dads are just expected to work. I really do.

Nah, it will just get me hated. I really don't want that. Oh wait. Ok.

Now, why is it Mothers are applauded and felt sorry for when they have to work and raise children yet Fathers are just expected to work and are somehow less important in the whole thing. Fathers that do stay home with the kids are thought of as less manly, even though they are just doing what is the natural thing to do. We are supposed to be less attached to the children, supposed to not care that we have to work all the time. Ok, [/rant]

I agree with what you say. Granted, I'm not a mom, but anyone who stays home with heathens.. children. Dammit, children. Anyone who stays at home with children should be thought highly of in my book - be they father or mother. They should also be watched, too, cause anyone who wants to stay home with children must be crazy.

exactly. my husband tells me there is no way in hell he'd do it. he gets cranky after an hour or so.....i just may be a little crazy....

I agree completely with your rant Puter. I don't think a father is any less "manly" if he decides to stay home with the kids. A father is a parent too

So then why is it that we applaud Women for working while they have kids?

I mean, Working Mothers is a catch phrase these days, ever hear the term Working Fathers? Nope, didn't think so.

Because since the beginning of time, women were meant to stay home and raise the kids and take care of their husband. It was absurd for a woman to work while having kids. Just this past millenium, women decided to shit on that and work if they wanted to if they had kids. Men have always been the bread winners, so a "working father" isn't that great a scheivement as a "working moter". It doesn't make sense, I agree.

PT...I think its more the single working parent who is also the custodial parent that draws the kudos....If both parents are ever present, it shouldn't matter which one works. But when you have to play both parts, it gets pretty hairy....There is little to no time to recharge yourself emotionally.
