Unfortunately, probably Hillary. Its too bad, cuz I can't imagine she would be better than junior. Well, I hope they can come up with some moderate cuz we are in Desperate need of "regime change."
We are?

Sorry man, I'm neither a democrat or a republican, but I don't care for him anymore than clinton. Maybe its his way with words, or his arrogance. Don't get me wrong, I voted for him, and I can't see myself voting for al, even knowing what I do about junior, but still I don't like that I helped elect him. Maybe we will get a third party. I'm sorry, the economy is the issue, not Iraq, or al'whatever!!! I like the way they put it at the economist, this isn't "wag the dog" its "wag the donkey" its political manuvering to keep his ratings high, and possible to get more repubs in office. Sorry, but Iraq isn't the issue. Don't get me wrong, I'm SURE that they had some part in 911, but why wait until now, if that is our justifaction, then it should have been the issue a year ago, not just afghanistan!!! If its anything other than politically motivated, I'm missing it. Cuz this isn't something new. Even clinton knew that this asshole was gonna present problems, why didn't he support "regime change" there, why didn't ANYONE until the economy took a dive? NO, this is about votes, approval ratings, and "waging the donkey." Sorry, I can't agree that this is the most urgent issue confronting the US or the world. Recession is, and most people would agree!!! Don't get me wrong, I don't trust the dems for a recovery any more, but I certainly have no faith in georgie boy. I expect him to only make the world hate us, and further depress our economy in the process.

Sure, I know, war is good fiscally, but not in growth sectors, places that might stimulate a real recovery. So I'm not so interested in that argument, although I can see it being presented.

Too much CNN. The economy, while not growing as robustly as we've become accustomed, has grown this year at 3%. That is not a weak economy. It is a tolerable to decent growth rate. The Dems can't even use it to get them elected.

I didn't vote for Bush & my patience with him is decliing. However, it could be far worse.

You sure are apologizing an awful lot RD_151. But that's ok, you're allowed to be wrong. Maybe you just need to be shaken a little so that you realize that Iraq is the issue.
That's why everyone is talking about it, it's the issue. That's why it's in the news, it's the issue. Yes i hear that you want the economy to be the issue, but it's not. And i hate to break the news to you but the economy was diving when clinton was in office. Don't try to pin this on the economy. It goes up, and it goes down. It's a part of the way things work. Nothing shocking there. Wake up. You're a democrat and a poor actor. If you're not getting it then you're simply lacking the capacity to understand. It's been explained a billion times over and yet you still can't seem to comprehend the obvious. So sorry.

"your a democrat and a poor actor"

Dude, you amuse me. Thanks man, its good to hear that I'm not a partisan republican for a change. Wow, your view will change soon. Trust me. I could NEVER be called a dem, not ever really. Even though I consider myself a independent, I'm still a registered rep, only cuz you have to be to vote in primaries here, you have to choose a party. WEll, I even volunteered to help with a senate campaign down here for a repub. They never bother to call me much so I didn't bother to help much. WEll anyway, thanks. You I will refer to this thread a lot then when people refer to me as a right wing repub in the future ;) They will, trust me!!! They always did before!!!

btw, the media determines what "is an issue" and the media is and has been manipulated by washington for a long time. Washington sets the agenda, the media (generally the liberal media) pass along the propaganda, and the sheep follow. Nothing new here, only that even the liberal press seems to be backing georgie boy. Maybe the focus group tested what people would react best too as well. It wouldn't surprise me. I assume they will be back to their liberal bias once bush gets us in trouble in the middle east!!!

If you think Bush screwed this country more, or the same, as Klinton, then I don't know what you have been reading. If you wanna talk what issues should be an issue, then screw the economy and make the Constitution an issue. People don't pay attention to it anymore.

How did Komrade Klinton got elected anyways? I can't believe people voted for him. Stupid.

Well, I don't think the economy is the only issue. I hear you about the constitution, and their asking us to give up our freedoms "temporarily," its really is lack of intelligence, or maybe rather cunning ablity to decieve us into thinking he is an idiot. I don't know, but I don't like him. He is either frightenly stupid, or maybe the GOAL is to take away our freedoms, who knows, either way, I don't like him anymore. Its all about that doctrine of this. That made me start to worry about him!!! after he published that, I lost any shred of respect I had for him.

Slick Willie had it right, from the start. "It's the economy, stupid". We were flying high (from Reagn, Bush 1, Clinton, any combination of the three or pure luck. When dollars are flying in as opposed to out, don't fuck with the system.

Damn, are there any Democrats here? Doesn't look like it, or at least none that want to admit it.
Its all a matter of perspective with the self as the neutral center. To some we would all seem to be just 2 degrees off of socialist beatnik yellow dog democrat. To some even our most hardline socialists would seem like theocratic whackjob weenies.

But as for talking here in general: Men tend to be more rightist and vocal and argumentative. Women tend to be more left and shy away from arguments ... at least arguments with men since we tend to be stump skull intractable at times. Ergo verbal fencing like this is left mostly to rightist males.

I'd bet there are actually more democrats here then republicans. For some reason they just don't seem to speak up. :confuse3:

Hard to blame them when nothing short of extreme right wing views seem to be acceptable in this forum. :(

RD_151 I hope my view of you does change. Because sofar you are stale air, a broken record. I'm not saying that to be mean spirited in any way. It's just that i've heard everything you've said a thousand times. I watch the democrats every single day on c-span trying to push the economy as the major issue of the day. When in reality the important bodies of government are focused on important international issues. I really don't watch tv news to much but i'm glad i could amuse you. Even though it sounds like you're already getting a little to much Donohue & Ashleigh Banfield.

Better than extreme communist views.
