Yes sir it did. Can you imagine what a sad world we'd live in had the likes of Mama Cass & Janice, not to mention a few thousand ugly assed guys, had been seen & not heard?

Yep if seeing had been requisite as it is today
then they'd never have been heard...

"What would you do
if I sang out of tune
would you get up &
walk out on me."

No Joe, you'd be working in a coal mine after seeing a specialist about that spasm you have.

It was on TV, did you go to the theater for it, or are you making things up?

I turned on the TV and watched about two minutes of conspiracy theory before turning it off.

Hey, let's really build an electric car. Motor on each wheel, synchronized by computer of course, three phase 440 (I'm talking electricity) and a hydrogen fired, steam turbine generator. Feel free to add to this outline. :D

I actually looked into buying a 440 this weekend. It was a '67 Dodge Coronet 440 parked on the side of the road with a for sale sign. Called the guy, and he was asking roughly ten times what I wanted to spend.

Looked like this except in blue and a hardtop:

So he was asking $10 then?

Nope. $19,000.

I figure that I can sell the Olds for $1500, and take about a thousand out of the 4-4-2 fund (which, after a period of reflection on life, I decided that just because I have an Olds now doesn't mean that I have to stick to Olds cars for the rest of my life, and that considering other GM, Ford, and Chrysler cars opens up a lot more options), which means I look for stuff under $2500. Given the good condition of the car, I was even willing to take some out of the checking account and the retirement account and go all the way up to $4000.

I shouldn't show that to my service manager. He's already got a '69 Roadrunner.

It's my understanding that it hasn't been on TV yet as it's just making it to some theaters.

And Spike ..... yeah, profit is a matter. Someone's gotta pay for the trillions of dollars of RnD necessary. That's called investment. You know what investment without visible potential profit is called? Taxes.

Since the cars were in production I'd say the RnD was done?

They change 'em every year. An 1897 Oldsmobile don't look nothin' like a 1997 Oldsmobile.

What does an 1897 Olds look like?

Many car companies don't change every year. Really doesn't have anything to do with the point that the R&D for an electric car was already done.
