Witchcraft

Jesus was simply a scapegoat, then.
God could simply have forgiven the sin that only Adam and Eve committed.

buddhism is not exclusive. (feel free to make the argument that it isn't a religion.)

It is a religion, much like Athiesm is a religion...or not. There is no diety for which one owes anything, no dogma, ceremony, worship or faith.

Off hand, it's more like a philosophy than a religion. Buddha isn't a diety. Buddhists don't ask favours of Buddha, to be saved through Buddha, make deals with Buddha (prayers)...neither does Buddhism reject religions or state that it is the sole bringer of truth.

Jesus said "many will come in my name", but I never though one would be a woman.

Woman Named Jesus Christ Dumped From Jury Pool
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Court officials say a Birmingham woman who changed her name to Jesus Christ didn't live up to it when she reported for jury duty this week. The woman, previously named Dorothy Lola Killingworth, was sent to Judge Clyde Jones's courtroom for a criminal case Monday.

Court officials told The Birmingham News Tuesday that the 59-year-old was excused because she was disruptive and kept asking questions instead of answering them.

Efforts to reach Christ for comment were unsuccessful.

Court administrator Sandra Turner said people there were shocked when the woman insisted her name was Jesus Christ and some potential jurors laughed out loud when her name was called.

But Turner said unlike some Jefferson County residents, Christ didn't try to get out of jury duty and was "perfectly happy to serve."

only in its western secular conception. christmas humphreys has argued similarly, so you're in good company, but...

there are effectively zillions of deities in practiced buddhism in the east, as it's absorbed innumerable folk beliefs due to its emphasis on tolerance.

it has monks, it has temples, people make offerings and prayers, and children are born into the tradition. so... it's a religion.

...and of course this implies that atheists can't possibly have morals, just customs.

Doesn't imply that at all.

Society establishes a moral compass and religions adapt to it or fade into obscurity. Just look at how the west's "moral compass" has changed over the last 500 years.

Chicken and egg argument. We can go at that one all day and not have a clear answer.
