It's both. Remember how OJ had a criminal and civil hearing?

Yep, I remember. Thought it was bullshit. He was found not guilty by a jury. Which I also find to be bullshit.

However, as RM points out, neither the state nor the feds are involved in civil matters (save for the judge). Civil & criminal are seperate entities.

A nation of laws lives & dies under them. Exceptions should not be made, for homosexuals or minorities or little girls or cops.

Not so in this case, they are forcing her into binding arbitration, which sweeps everthing under the rug, without that clause, civil and criminal charges can be pursued.

I think everyone knows this. Not sure if there was a point there.

Arbitration does not cover criminal matters. The gov't (whoever has sovereignty) shoudl prosecute.

they can't because of the clause in her contract. She is not allowed bringing charges, all complaints have to be handled by binding arbitration.

If she could bring charges, then there would be no argument.

so that makes it ok? No one should be punished? we should leave things the way they are, so it could happen again?
No it doesn't make it OK.

Let me explain it to you slowly.
  • A dumb broad went to a foreign country make lots of money by being in a war zone on foreign soil.
  • Chick got raped on foreign soil in a bad place where people get killed everyday.
  • THe Untied States does not have jurisdiction on foreign soil.
  • Chick chose big money over safety on foreign soil where women are dogs under law.
  • Chick prolly regrets her choice to go to a dangerous place.
Its fucking Iraq.

[*]A dumb broad went to a foreign country make lots of money by being in a war zone on foreign soil.

What makes you think she is dumb?

[*]THe Untied States does not have jurisdiction on foreign soil.

Wrong, they did at the time of the crime. Links have already been provided by me and Gonz. Pay attention.

[*]Chick chose big money over safety on foreign soil where women are dogs under law.

Chick was raped by fellow employees who should pay for their crimes.

A littler light...so then, why didn't Iraq bring charges? The US did not have criminal authority, only military. If these people raped this girl, in iraq, it's a criminal case under Iraq law (presuming they have rape laws)
