How would you do that? I was told there wasn't a way to remove messenger.

Did that too. Nothing really seems to work because whenever I start up, Winpatrol always shows MSNmessenger as an active task :(

Ok. I have messenger 6.2, I didn't have the program started and I have the messenger service disabled and yet people on my contact list said that I was online. How? And is there a way for me to fix this? Thanks

I did and they are. And I'm waiting till I get into the field before I buy a mac...for work.

Sometimes my desktop will flicker and then reset itself after which some icons in the notifcation area of my taskbar will be gone, and sometimes icons will get messed up in windows explorer. It happens, I think, usually when I open windows explorer...any ideas? Thanks

Degaussing? What's that? And no, the static is only when I'm booting up.

When I start up my computer, my screen is becomes all staticky and is filled with static lines in the transition between the Windows splash screen and the welcome screen (using WinXP). Any ideas of what the problem may be? Thanks ;)
