Much easier than that. I've heard the comparison on the news many times.

So why haven't you done your own research? Oops...nevermind...you don't have the wherewithall to do it...much easier to let others do it for you, and then point out where they may be wrong, correct?

Oh, so know you want me to drop everything and go over to Iraq to check it out? That's just dumb.

I don't believe anyone can tell everything that is going on at any given moment, everywhere.
There could be terrorist activity going on somewhere in the subdivision up the street here, and no-one knows.

I don't want to know some of it. I like sleeping at night, and have a hard
enough time as it is.
I just want to know the most critical, that's the closest to me.

I wonders what % of the news media ever heard of this man before the Iraq war...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Musab_al-Zarqawi

I'm guessing not a large %.
How long has he been doing terrorist stuff?
How many times has he traveled through/in Iraq?
Now
You still REALLY think the news media knows how much terrorist activity there was there?

That could also potentially be ending
BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. forces sealed off a house in the northern city of Mosul where eight suspected al-Qaida members died in a gunfight — some by their own hand to avoid capture. A U.S. official said Sunday that efforts were under way to determine if terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was among the dead.

No, that would be the terrorists.
I understand what you are getting at there, and I agree that it was the terrorist not us,
BUT
we really don't even know that it increased, or was just brought to the surface more.

Did somebody learn how to clone humans, and forgot to tell the news media. :D

Right, we seem to have made more of them.

Good flavio, I believe we're beginning to make real progress here.

The US doesn't make terrorists, the US kills them (or at least piles 'em up, nekkid, with a smoking ugly chick in charge).

Cat, you may be on to someting

Looks that way. ...or maybe we just convinced more to take up the occupation. The invasion seems to have given a real jumpstart to the industry.

I think they've all been out there all the time. Iraq just became the the place
they decided to make their stand.

Just because I don't see um all the time doesn't mean the gangs in this area
are gone. If they decide they want to get something going, they will come
out of the woodwork.

It's like saying France made more rioters.
These people had it in them all the time, or they wouldn't be doing it now.

I actually think it's a good thing that they picked a place, rather than having
to chase them all over the world. :)
or them coming here...
