I'm not sure why anyone would speculate on something that hasn't even been proposed unless you wanted to fear monger or something.

Because this is a discussion board & it is a possibility.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama suggested Wednesday that a new value-added tax on Americans is still on the table, seeming to show more openness to the idea than his aides have expressed in recent days.

Ok, well I'll speculate that it will be eventually be implemented in 2032 but will only apply to marine mammals.

Yep, keeping all the options on the table. That's pretty rational.

I love it when leaders consider all the options before deciding.

I don't see where you get ALL options are on the table.
Cutting the size (number of people) in the government doesn't seem
to be anywhere on the table.
Repealing certain regulations, or laws don't seem to be there anywhere.
need I go on?

Man, I'd love to have a Kermit puppet.

I have one..still in the box. I hope one day to make a mint on it, but I'm not holding my breath. My Animal muppet is in horrible condition unfortunatly..all the feathers are gone, so he looks bald.

I don't know why you don't think those options are on the table or what laws you want repealed.

well, for starters, and since this was originally a Bush thing...
(surely you can agree)
How about repealing TARP?

I have my own views on the whole fiasco there, but I won't go into that now.

What about the so-called "patriot act"
Why didn't he let that expire?
That wasn't good to renew.
