1. texas can trample rights protected by the constitution?

What right would that be?

in any case, whatever is playing out in the courts, this texas shuff very much violates the spirit of the constitution in shitting on individuals in favor of a dumb majority.

Do you think that the founders would tell, say, Virgina, that it couldn't write its own laws, especially laws of this nature?

I already live here. You are saying that if those of us who do not want to live under the tyranny of the majority we are to pack up our belongings, leave our jobs and neighbors and migrate to someplace else to be refugees?

OK, stay there & have the laws changed. Or have them not written in the first place. Better yet, have the federal government stamp out states rights altogether (which they've been working on since 1863), giving you no option.

You just refuse to pay attention don't you?

Yes, I was paying attention when you railed against a nanny state and also when you tried to justify the Texas GOP's nanny state plans.

You used to be all like "<example> don't disrupt the rights & liberties of another. Keep the government out of our life.

Leave the market alone.

IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS."

And now suddenly you don't mind having the government in your life even when you're not disrupting the rights and liberties of others.

Now, you don't care if they mess with the market.

Now, you think it might be everyone's business.

I'll also be paying attention when you don't address your flip flop and double standards.

Right, so if someone makes the choice to go to a strip club, marry someone of the same sex, look at porn or enjoy some oral sex with their wife that their choice. People who aren't into that sort of thing can choose not to and not force their choices on everyone else.

That's taking away personal freedom.

That's what all laws do.
That's why we use the "majority rules", or are supposed to.

So, again, I ask what freedom do you want? Anarchy?

People should be free to do what they choose as long as it doesn't disrupt the rights & liberties of another. These things the Texas GOP wants to ban to ban do not infringe on others rights.

Re: here’s some moar troll food ;)

The only one trolling in this thread is you Winky. Everyone one else was talking about the ban the Texas GOP wants to put in place.

So go troll somewhere else if you have nothing worthwhile to say.

Not at all. Those are two unrelated posts. The Texas GOP wants to ban things that don't infringe on the rights of others.

Gonz used to be against that type of thing and now he switched into trying to justify a nanny state.

He used to be against nanny shit even at the city level. Now, not at all.
