Holy shit. You really are obsessed with this crap.

Go Winky! Get it all out.

I'm going to sneak up and post interesting topics and pass your post count while you're not looking. You go ahead and post random pictures and fuck up the forums. Do it man.

when you say gov, you mean ALL gov.
When I use it (see historic posts) I mean National usually.

There is a difference in state government, and national.
Especially when it comes to the topic of Freedom.

Nationalization is trying to divide this country, and states hold it together.

(two days ago)

now back to the same starting point...

Not at all. Those are two unrelated posts. The Texas GOP wants to ban things that don't infringe on the rights of others.

Gonz used to be against that type of thing and now he switched into trying to justify a nanny state.

He used to be against nanny shit even at the city level. Now, not at all.

All the proposed freedoms taken away we've been talking about have been state level from the beginning Cat. Except some of the ones Gonz is against which were city.

I just don't see how Texas making a law, takes your freedom away in Calli.

Just as sex in your bedroom doesn't take away my freedom in my house.

sounds like you've changed your tune from a couple days ago.

nope
I abide by the laws of this state.
If I lived in TX I'd abide by their's.
Same with Cali.

Personally, I don't really see how they can enforce sodomy in TX, unless
they see it done in public.
Maybe if someone reports a so-called house of ill repute, and they come in on somebody...I dunno.

If you don't like the law, don't live there.
Sodomy has been illegal in this state for as long as I can remember, and
adultery too.
I can't ever remember a case of sodomy in court here though, and only one
case of adultery, brought by a scorned woman in a divorce case.

Just like with the AZ law, some people want to make a problem out of it before one actually exists.

How is it taking away freedom when they want it?

The Texas GOP wants to take away the personal freedom of all Texans, not just the ones that want their freedom taken away.

I had it from the beginning.

Good, it didn't seem like it. So there's no reason to legislate what someone else does in their own bedroom if it's between consenting adults.

1.) Do you have any stats as to how many Texans don't want the legislation?

2.) nope.
I don't think people should be allow to give blow jobs on the street corner though.

lol
look man, even if they pass that law with no alterations,
...
if you walk up to a cop and say you are gay and practice sodomy, I
don't think they are going to arrest you.

It's about catching people "in the act".

No, why? From the number of strip clubs in Texas it's obvious a large number of Texans enjoy that freedom.

2.) nope.

Me either, but that's not what the Texas GOP is talking about.

That would be up to the cop's discretion. Of course he should have no ability to arrest you for that in the first place.

Start counting: one... me.

There are already public decency laws that cover sex acts in public places. This is not the same thing.

One thing that many people fail to recognize is that this is yet another government tentacle into our lives. The more power you give your government over you the less you have over your government.

I don't mind some regulation for adult oriented establishments. I don't think it's the place to open a new strip club next to a school, though I don't mind the strip club opening next to a church.
