But you only post stuff on a partisan basis. You don't like any of the other side?
That's at-least half the country.
So you love half the country, and despised the other half?

I don't know any regular folks that do like "corrupt administration".
If there is proof of corruption that can be prosecuted, who don't think it will be?

US and UK planes in Iraqi no-fly zones under false authority dropping bombs and killing civilians were "fired on".....so invade and kill tens of thousands and blow a trillion dollars?

1. How many civilians were killed by the US and our allies in the period between the two wars?
2. How many civilians were killed in the bombings of military radar and SAM sites during the no-fly zone period?
3. How many civilians were killed by Coalition forces during the invasion?

Be specific. That bullshit counter you like to show is not correct, as it can include things as mundane as traffic accidents and slipping in bathtubs...

Bastogne Soldiers catch terrorists red-handed

KIRKUK, Iraq – In the past two days, Bastogne Soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, detained several insurgents and confiscated a large cache filled with materials used in the construction of improvised explosive devices as result of combined efforts with Iraqi security forces.

After receiving information on a possible fake identification workstation, Soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, conducted a cordon and search with members of the Iraqi Police. Once inside the target residence, the combined force discovered more than 300 false identification cards, including Iraqi Police IDs. During the search, an Iraqi man came to the house to see the owner. After a few minutes of questioning, the man admitted to previously purchasing a false ID card from the owner of the residence. The owner of the house and the second man were both taken into custody.

In a similar incident, Bastogne Soldiers on a combined patrol with Iraqi Police discovered a weapons cache at a home in Kirkuk. Iraqi Emergency Services Unit had detained the owner of the residence the day prior after receiving information linking the man to a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack in the Raheem Awa neighborhood of the city. A search of the man’s house yielded several bags of ammunition as well as a large cache of materials used to make IED’s including four rocket propelled grenade rounds, three blocks of C-4 explosive, 13 Motorola radios with batteries, and four rolls of electrical wire.

The 1st Brigade Combat Team has been working with and training Iraqi security forces in the Province of Kirkuk since taking over responsibility for operations in Northern Iraq last November. The combined efforts of Bastogne Soldiers and their Iraqi counterparts continue to improve stability to the region as missions like these diminish the ability of insurgents to harm innocent civilians.

And this...

Iraqi security forces gaining ground; terror diminished

KIRKUK, Iraq – Two off-duty Iraqi soldiers captured two terrorists who were emplacing an improvised explosive device in Kirkuk Province March 12.

The two soldiers noticed two men working next to a car stopped alongside the road. As the two soldiers approached, they realized that the two men were indeed emplacing an IED. The soldiers apprehended the two men and then called local police who took the two terrorists into custody, while an Iraqi explosives unit disposed of the IED.

“The actions of these two soldiers is indicative of the success the Iraqi security forces are having as a whole,” stated Maj. Greg Bishop, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, stationed in Kirkuk, Iraq. “They are embracing the values of being a full-time professional soldier, always prepared to defend their country.

In the past three days, Iraqi Police captured several individuals involved in terrorist activities in one form or another. Police in the Daquq district captured a member of the Omar Bin Khatab terrorist cell who is known to transport weapons and IEDs throughout the region, while police in the Qoria district detained a woman suspected of using her home as a safe haven for terrorists. In yet another community, children told police of weapons stashed in a nearby dumpster. Upon investigation, police found 18 fuses and a more than 20 explosive rounds.

“What we are seeing is success breeding success,” Bishop added. “As the Iraqi Army and local police continue to capture terrorists and find caches, local citizens are stepping forward with information.”

Soldiers detain suspects; Iraqi Army finds weapons cache

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Soldiers from Multi-National Division – Baghdad’s 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, detained three individuals March 17 who are suspected in a drive-by shooting in northwest Baghdad.

The detainees’ vehicle contained multiple AK-47 rifles, a PKC rifle, cell phones and chest racks (load bearing vests). The detainees were brought to Camp Liberty for in-processing.

Elsewhere, elements of the 2nd Brigade, 9th Iraqi Army Division, and an Estonian platoon, found a weapons cache while on dismounted patrol northwest of Baghdad.

An Iraqi civilian tipped off the patrol to the cache’s whereabouts.

The cache consisted of two 37 mm rounds, three 125 mm rounds and an unknown amount of .50 caliber rounds.

And some more...

Iraqi Army, Coalition troops continue searches in southern Salah Ad Din province

TIKRIT, Iraq – A total of 11 caches have been discovered and more than 60 suspected insurgents detained as Operation Swarmer continued for a third day March 18.

Coalition Forces did encounter an IED along one of the roads in the area today and one vehicle was damaged. No troops were injured in the attack.

As of 6 p.m., Iraqi time, March 18, there had been no Iraqi or Coalition casualties directly associated with Operation Swarmer.

As Iraqi Army troops and their Coalition partners continue to clear the objective area northeast of Samarra, enemy caches captured thus far have yielded significant amounts of weapons and IED-making materials.

Included in the finds were the following munitions:

- More than 350 mortar rounds of varying sizes

- 88 rocket propelled grenade rounds

- Nearly 2,000 rounds of armor-piercing rifle ammunition

- More than 15 rockets of varying sizes

- Over 60 hand grenades

- SA-7 surface-to-air missile components, including launcher tubes and batteries

- 30 machine guns and assault rifles

The following items were among the IED-making materials discovered since the operation began:

- More than 500 feet of explosive detonating cord;

- 50 explosive blasting caps;

- 25 130 mm artillery rounds packed with plastic explosive;

- Various remote initiation devices, including cordless phone base stations and washing machine timers.

In addition to the weapons and munitions, terrorist training publications, Iraqi Army uniforms and videos have been recovered. The video footage portrayed U.S. troop locations in Iraq, the rigging and detonation of a car bomb, a suicide bomber and equipment taken from Iraqi Police.

Operation Swarmer is expected to continue for the next 24-48 hours at a minimum as Iraqi and Coalition Forces exploit cache sites and search all structures in the area.

Still no comments from the left...

Soldiers capture 16 insurgents near Mosul, Iraqi Army finds cache

TIKRIT, Iraq – Sixteen insurgents were detained in a raid conducted by 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team Soldiers in Humera March 17 after receiving a tip that directed them to a house full of insurgents and a cache of weapons.

The cache included 11 AK-47 assault rifles, 28 weapon magazines, ammunition, and IED-making materiel.

All of the detainees tested positive for traces of explosive substances and were taken to the Mosul Detention Facility for further questioning.

Soldiers from 2nd Iraqi Army Division in Mosul found a cache of five rocket-propelled grenades, four AK-47’s, one RPG launcher, one hand grenade, 10 weapon magazines, and ammunition hidden in a white truck.

The Iraqi Army explosive ordnance disposal team assisted in securing the cache, which was taken to a secure location for disposal.

Almost forgot the most important one...

Iraqi Police conduct mission; cache discovered

KIRKUK, Iraq – Iraqi Police conducted back-to-back cordon and search missions of six houses in Kirkuk on March 16, detaining nine individuals suspected of terrorist activities.

Under the watchful eye of Bastogne Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division, stationed in Kirkuk, the police moved into the city’s Qadiysiahya neighborhood, systematically checking every room in the houses and detaining the men inside.

“The training we’ve been giving the Iraqi security forces is paying huge dividends,” said Major Greg Bishop, spokesman for the Bastogne Brigade. “Our role continues to morph into that of advisor, as police in the city of Kirkuk are planning many of the missions and then carrying them out.”

Following questioning at a nearby police station, five of the men were moved to the U.S. military compound in Kirkuk for further questioning. The other four were released.

Elsewhere in the region, police in the village of Dibbis, just outside Kirkuk, discovered a cache of twelve 120 mm mortar rounds. The police moved the cache back to their police station for disposal.

Iraqi security forces continue to take on greater responsibility for the security and stability in the Kirkuk region. As their abilities continue to improve, security in the region continues to improve, bringing stability and economic growth to the citizens of Iraq.

Troop morale holds steady in Iraq
BY: Antonio Castaneda, Associated Press*
03/21/2006

ROMMANA, IRAQ-- The seasons swing from cold and muddy to unbearably hot, the roadside bombs are deadly and the long separations from loved ones are more draining as third and fourth deployments loom. Re-enlistment is down, and generals acknowledge victory is uncertain.

Yet morale among U.S. troops in Iraq remains somewhat positive -- without the frequent suicides and insubordination that shook the draft-era army in the last years of the Vietnam War.

Morale in today's military may reflect the fact that the Iraq war so far has taken a fraction of the lives lost in Southeast Asia. Many troops also see their efforts in Iraq as eroding global terrorist groups.

It also helps that the restructured military doesn't rely on draftees, but on a professional corps of volunteers. Indeed, some say conflict is exactly why they enlisted in the first place.

"Why else would anyone join the Marine Corps?" asked Sgt. Maj. Bryan Ward of the 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, a 29-year Marine veteran whose first tour was also in the Middle East during the Iran hostage crisis.

"My take is that they like to deploy -- but that they just don't like to deploy so often," the San Diego resident added, pointing to a widespread weariness over multiple tours in the war zone.

Sgt. Jon Beck of Rock Hill, S.C., also considers the combat an attraction.

"I was volunteering to come back. It's our generation's war. And it's the place where the money is as an infantryman," said Beck, who is assigned to the 6th Civil Affairs Group.

Unlike in Vietnam, most of the troops live on bases with easy links to home, via telephone and Internet, and there are bonus comforts such as video-conferencing on Valentine's Day and dining halls.

Many of the troops say, however, that more important are the personalities of those in their platoons and the leadership style of commanding officers.

"Having a good platoon is key -- just having your friends around," said Lance Cpl. Michael Surber, a native of Kenosha, Wis., who also is in the 1st Light Armored.

"The biggest thing is the guys you're with, and not having to see your buddies get hurt," Surber added. His squad was moving through a field in Romanna, one of a string of cities along the Euphrates River where hundreds of Marines are based near the Syrian border.

Storage tank project supports fresh water for Iraqis

TAJI, Iraq
– Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers tested water storage tanks March 20 in four communities north of Baghdad, signaling the successful completion of the vital project to supply the local citizens with fresh drinking water.

Soldiers from 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment and Company A, 490th Civil Affairs Battalion, are building relationships with the Iraqi citizens of local communities by assisting them with infrastructure improvements and providing essential services designed to improve their quality of life.

“We are happy,” said Sheik Modar Thamir, the leader in one of the communities. “Now we have fresh drinking water.”

“This is the first project we’ve started and completed,” explained Maj. Herb Joliat, civil military operations officer for 1st Brigade Combat Team. “The immediate impact was the storage tanks. (The previous unit) put in the compact water treatment units, but they couldn’t be used because they weren’t connected to anything.”

The water pump takes the water from the canal network, and the compact water treatment unit purifies the water. Generators provide electricity to run the pump and the CWTU. The new tanks store the purified water and have faucets on the outside to allow the local population to fill household containers and bring the fresh water home with them.

The communities serviced by the water storage tanks are Al Raood, Banat Al Hasan, Tarbulia and Uhm Najim.

“This (project) is something we gave them,” added Joliat.

In the 1st BCT area of Iraq, relationships are being built daily between the citizens and the Coalition Forces. The Iraqi Security Forces, supported by the Coalition Forces, are helping the people of these villages by providing infrastructure and essential services in addition to providing a safe and secure environment to set the stage for a prosperous future
