I must confess, I am the outsider here - I do not own a single MP3..........I prefer to shop for my music. I love 'discovering' songs on cd's and often I end up liking the unknown songs more than the ones that get played on radio.

MY HD came with MP3's and porn already installed :)

It was an ex-customer's old HD which he was turfing. Got it for a song...so to speak.

Prior to wipe down - 1.2GB of MP3's - varied music and sources
_______________ - 5.75GB of Porn - varied poses and hair colours :)

Funny you should ask, I'm currently burning my first music cd. I only have 700mb of songs so far. But I just got this today so I have a feeling I'll be downloading alot more from WinMX.

I have them broken down by decades/type:

70's pop/disco-10 songs
70's rock-24 songs
80's metal-10 songs
80's pop/dance-76 songs
90's dance-7 songs
90's other stuff-31 songs
Sappy stuff-10 songs

Update... I'm up to 2 and a half Gigs of mp3's and no longer use peer to peer software because it is illegal. ;)

That player that I bought is a big POS. There is static on every cd that I play. It still works but the static is annoying. Next time, I'm going for a plain old MP3 player, not CD player.

I'm always deleting songs in my collection. Sitting at about 16k songs now (72G). The full drive (all my songs + the ones I've removed) sits around 24k (86G). I dont' use filesharing anymore because of quality. I just buy the CD and rip it at 320kpbs and be done with it.

Trish, I've got a TDK cd/mp3 player that works great. Although, if I did it all over again I'd go Rio or iPod for size vs storage.

I have all sorts of stuff... some of it free downloads from mp3.com and some from my favorite cds.

It was through the free downloads I discovered Primal Scream.

I was considering Rio at first but thought I'd want to play the CD's that burned more than having the MP3's stored on the player. Now I know better. If I had the money, I'd buy an iPod too probably.

But music theft is a victimless crime damnit! ;)
