    Knoxville slaying

this makes me sad. i go to a UU church sometimes. i don't understand what anyone could find so objectionable. it's sick that suggesting that maybe we should respect each other is seen as being "liberal"... i just don't get it. The Seven UU Principles: -The inherent worth and dignity of every...

    Hair removal via waxing...

yeah, i heard a woman with heavy tattoo coverage who has a few kids and was in a near-fatal car accident describe threading as "the most painful thing" she's ever done... so i don't think that's something i'd ever want to try!

    Evangelical

exactly! my bff is christian, and she's very big on "witnessing through the way you love others"... which i think is awesome. i admire her for that WAY more than i admire someone who tries to see how may people they can "save"... because i wouldn't admire them at all.

    Weird kid names

im tired of connon, tailor, BRAIDEN, maddie, mackenzie... all that stuff. but as much as i think these names are about as expressive and interesting as a plain white piece of paper, they are becoming the norm. jtp has a point... "ashley" was the most common name the year i was born, but if...

    Hair removal via waxing...

i'm happy to be blessed with thin light-colored hair on my legs, so i can not-de-hair and also not be subject to our culture's ridiculous scrutiny of all things natural about the body.

    Hair removal via waxing...

yeah, my friend tried it upon hearing how great i think it is, and it actually burned her! like, blistering welts. i felt all bad :(

    Hair removal via waxing...

i don't bother with any of tht noise, typically... it's too much of a hassle, and not part of my personal standard of beauty. i do like nair, however, when i do feel like de-hairing... it's so easy to do and, provided you're not sensitive to the chemicals, doesn't hurt at all. and nair lasts...

    Your dream hoiday destination...

there are a lot of places i'd love to see, but they're SOOOO different, i feel hesitant... thats why i go back and forth on india. like you, tonks, id love to see egypt. i want to go to borneo, also. (lol, i come from a travel-y family... i'm sure you understand!)

    Your dream hoiday destination...

i would definitely go to germany again. i went there in '04... some of you may remember (from my postings from crappy internet kiosks) i was kind of miserable, because i had never really been out of the country before, the culture is so different, and despite what everyone seems to say, NOT...

    FiOS TV

my parents and my bff got fios, and they love it... but meanwhile, i think that comcast has been steppin' it up because of the competition; jay and i have had fewer problems with our service.

    Would you drive a ZENN?

speed and seating capacity would be a problem... i'd be curious about the highway one, though!

Has anyone else noticed the expansion of the entitlement attitude?

i think for me, it's just that i love order. if there's an instructional sign, i want to read it. i love following the rules of the road, and get mad when someone with the right of way transfers it to me, because it fucks with the order of things... stuff like that. everything has to make sense...

    First Legal Drink

a word of caution about lynchburg lemonades.... you can't really taste the alcohol (which, depending on how big your drink is, there can be a lot of), and they are really yummy, and so things can get out of hand FAST.
