2006 BBQ Possibilities

I know it doesn't have the spontaneous, crazy, last, minute feel but at least it will solve the date issue. *peepwall*

Spontaneous, crazy and last-minute are bad for those who have to request time off work and figure out how to travel across multiple states. Plane tickets are a lot cheaper when bought months in advance... I bought my plane ticket to Atlanta at the start of April for the flight at the end of June.

I need at least 4 months notice to figure out how to manage to get Larry to take his kids for a few days in a row.

Oh no....

Forgot the two of them are going to have to plan something which involves making decisions....

Can't even get them to agree on a time so I can come see their dog and new furniture. FYI they live like 3 miles away from me.

Here is an idea, get out a calendar. Highlight a weekends after the kids head off. If you hit a weekend with a dart that is the weekend of the BBQ. I know it doesn't have the spontaneous, crazy, last, minute feel but at least it will solve the date issue. *peepwall*
Agree on a time? Didn't know we had to plan for your visit, Mr. No-Schedule. :p

The month-long idea was pure sarcasm. ;) I'll try to get some dates nailed down this weekend. Cam's purse was stolen this morning, so that's priority for awhile (DL, bank cards, keys, cellphone...all forms of identity).

Oh, now that just sucks. Check her credit ratings with all 3 agencies in about 8 weeks, and be prepared to put fraud notices on with each one.

In the 20 mins it took us to call 911 for a case number and then call the banks, they had already racked up over $200 on two cards (all before 8am). The local bank has purchase locations, but the Canadian bank has yet to get more details on the charges. Equifax was called this morning; the other two are tonight.

Now we've got to get the SS card and DL replaced.....those are a headache in terms of time and requirements.

Good for you. Be aware, though, that they'll probably try it again in 2-4 months, after the initial furor dies down. All of a sudden, she'll be charging on 4-5 new credit cards, which she didn't even apply for. How exciting.

I still say have the BBQ in Hawai'i. We've got a million grills, lots of great weather, sand/rock and surf. I'll even provide all the beer :headbang:

Oh Sis, when I have the money I WILL be there! I don't like beer...but I'll be there anyway!

Problem with that is that I'd never be allowed to leave the family behind. That's great in theory, but flying three to paradise is damned expensive.

If you want us to fly to Hawaii you're gonna have to take it up with Rob.
