Never. We conservatives want smaller government, we want government out of our lives. It's the lefty's that wants every aspect of lives controlled by massive socialist government control. You thinking doesn't add up.

Part of the plan is to reduce crime and wasted resources on illegals. A double 25' wall would be a great start in reducing the burden of foreign invaders.

If that were so then why does the Right want the government to define "marriage"? Why does the Right want the government to legislate morality (specifically, Christian religious laws)? Why does the Right want government (Arizona state) to require citizens to carry and present government issued documents at the will and demand of government officials? Why does the Right want the government to make laws to take a woman's right to choose away from her, forcing her to become a brood mare for any man that impregnates her (with or without her consent)?

Right = more big government control over the lives of private citizens. The records speak for itself.

I am concerned that the Republicans have left the path they once were on (smaller government, less government control, etc.) and replaced it with this new fascist ideology. George W. Bush began the descent for the party and we've seen it fall farther and farther down that Rabbit Hole. I can only hope that at some point the Republicans will recognize their folly before it's too late. Will another split (such as the Progressive Party split of 1911) be required?

As for the Democrats, they are not interested in having more government control over our private lives. Regulation only comes when a it is necessary to prevent the imposition of one citizen on the rights of other citizens (i.e., Civil Rights). Democrats are not socialists, even if you think so. There is a socialist party in the US but the Democrats are not it. You make associations that just aren't true.

Most of the people who come here from Mexico only come her to find work. A cheaper way to deal with them is to create a program that makes it easy for them to get a temporary work permit. I live in a border state (Texas) and we need these workers to labor in the fields and for non-skilled labor. No US citizen will do this work.

There is nothing about smaller government with limited powers that I do not understand. The government should not be in my private business. Government should be concerned with only what it was intended to be concerned with. You should be asking the Republicans this question, including yourself (re: government creating a law/mandate which defines a legally recognized marriage, which you have stated is a "rite").

100% agreement. Show me where in those papers is gives the gov't the right to tax it's citizens and give the money to the 'needy'. To print money at will? To limit what arms the citizens can own, and where they can be with it? It's familiar territory for both sides to claim that the other ignores the constitution and bill of rights, but neither side willingly endorses those papers. For either side to claim that the other is at fault is laughable to say the least.
