Oh, it very much has everything to do with the current situation. No government means no "homeland". Palestine is region between Syria & Egypt. It's not a country. The people are as diverse as the region. They are not, however, a seperate group. The modern versions are a little different. These people are the trash of the Arab world. They've been kicked around & disregarded in damn near every state they've been in. They're used as pawns by the other Arab nations.

If the hillbillies of Virginia wanted to claim the mountains as a homeland, they'd be as full of shit.

Want peace in the ME? Move all the disgruntled Palestinians to Jordan (who holds as much of their homeland as Israel) & let them settle there. Same region, same land, same resources. They'd only have to accept the Jews having their own nation. Oh, sorry, can't have that.
