The meanings don't change just because some idiot tried to change it & you accepted their position. The connotations may add meaning to a word, or provide another option, but the word does not go through some metamorphisis.

Look at the subject at hand. The Consitution means exactly today what it meant in 1788. There is no olde fashioned wording.
