Flushing toilets

The true test is to open a sink drain ... not a toilet. Theres too much action going on in a toilet to make the water act in a natural state. A sink has no such impediments.

simple. funnel. it just goes down neither clockwise or counter clockwise. and if you saw the simpons in australia youd know thats not the case. they have the technology to force it to go the American way :D jk

Toilets in Greece don't flush.

At least not if you use toilet paper...

*sorry* but it's true! any of you who've been to the islands will know this!

the in-laws back home recently had newer - wider sewers installed in their house ( and others around them ) and out to the main sewers,
they can now flush toilet paper down as well. :D

ah yeah, the newer places are better -older areas of Athens are dodgy though!

Are your inlaws Greek? :)

What do the toilets in Greece do then pray tell?

Block easily - phewwww!!!

Used toilet paper goes in the bin at the side of the loo, put paper down
and it's blocked.
Somthing to do with old style narrow sewer pipes.

My ex-in-laws had a summer home at the Lake of the Ozarks that had a small septic tank. They always had a sign hanging in the bathroom to Not flush the toilet paper.

I never could get used to sitting on the john staring at a trashcan full of used toilet paper.

I've been intrigued by the engineering that went into the flushable toilet!

Anyone here know what year John Crapper invented this remarkable device?

He wrote a book ya know? It's called "Flushed With Pride".

I know he was a "plumber" in mid -evil days, but that's about it.

...........still like to shake 'is hand! :D

oh it is, it is, in 45 degrees Celsius heat in the concrete jungle that is Athens in August...!

The best you can hope for is that the bins have lids!
