How Far is Too Far? Are we close to a revolutionary war?

Don't forget the "right to bear arms" part which gives us the right to fucking shoot our government in the head if it tries to fuck the country up that way.

If you hate the United States so much, which I sense from all your posts, why don't you just move to Mexico?
emotion, ignorance ... tsk.

True. Im also a Poli Sci man from my college days (international Affairs). It just makes me bristle to hear someone speak as if they understand the principles of democracy and yet shout : fuck, shoot em in the head, hate, love it or leave it.

Oh stuff it, it was merely an expression dude... Chill...

Do you know RD_151 on the outside world? Is he aware that it was just a figure of speech as you say? I dare say that most people who would read what you wrote as a sabre ratling attack.

what was a sabre ratling attack? I didn't mean it that way. Generally I only present the other side even if I don't believe it. I'm really not sure there is a "right" answer in any of this. I will be honest. There are no easy choices. There are no "right" answers. Its just a discussion.

You were referring to the expression I made about shooting the government. Thats what that clause in the Constitution is... I don't see how that can offend anyone since it is the truth. And no I don't know RD_151, and I didn't even think of him when I said that. Whats your problem?

^^ thats the line im talking about that you used against RD_151

I didn't think LL was refering to me about something. And personally, I tend to agree. If only the Germans could have kept their guns just before wwII, the world might have been a lot different . I the literal meaning works just fine, to be honest!

As far as both sides, well, I tend to change my mind from time to time. I don't like to get too trapped up in public opinion, and what I believed in the past. I will explore other arguements, and if I like them better then I will change my view. More than one person changed my opinion or believe back in the day at HWC OT!!!

Actually I did refer to you about that think with the US... your posts do show a little hostility towards the United States. At least for me anyways, from what I read. Just remember English is my third language and I might not always get the real meaning clearly. ;)

I don't know, maybe it was. Actually, I will probably move to Europe, not mexico. Its not my choice though. I would rather stay. Living here is preferable to just about anywhere else in the world to me. I like our freedoms, and I won't give that up. Ok, Europeans don't see it as so free here, and I see their arguments in some respect, but I'm used to it now.

I don't think I'm hostle to the US at all. I'm just not hostle to the other nations that the rest of americans are currently!!!

Oo, that explains quite a bit... Moving to Europe? Freedom does not go well with Europe in my experiences. Very controlled. And Europeans actually see it here as too much freedom. :)

I merely suggsted Mexico since I didn't think you were quite as far leftwing as Europe. ;)

Well, my wife is from Europe. So I guess maybe that socialist propaganda is rubbing off and I'm becomnig a lefty. I doubt it though. I think I would be happy with another repub in office, like maybe if george and dick could trade places, that would be fine. I really have no problems with the US, generally. I had problems with clinton, lots of them, and I have some with bush now. I didn't mind his dad so much, and I didn't mind the republican messiah so much either, although, it seems he wasn't too great either, just a good actor. Well, I had kind of hoped that bush's stupidity was the bright side, when I voted for him. I expected that he might actually listen to advisors. Or at the very least he should listen to daddy. Ok, maybe thats the problem, daddy want some pay back! No, I'm just fuckin around, I don't believe anything like that. I think its more like this. He got cheated, clinton left him with a bad economy, and well, like all good politicians he wants to get reelected. I guess you can't blame him for that. I don't blame him for the economy, or anything like that. I blame him for trying to ignore it, but not for the state its in. Greenspan may have been a little over zelous when the market peeked, I mean with those rate hikes. Not that it matters, you can't kill the business cycle, or so it seems.

Nope, I don't have a problem with the US. But I do have a problem with some american being to over zelous and too "patriotic" and I use that term loosely. I don't wanna loose nyc, or washington, or some other major city to a terrorist attack anymore than the next guy, but I don't know exactly what is the best choice to prevent it. I mean we can kill everyone who might develop a bomb, but guess what, over time, as technology advances, EVERY COUNTRY will be capable of building them, then what? Its only a matter of time! Certainly a decent amount of time, but still its not in the so distant future as to dismiss this fact. Besides, nukes aren't the be all end all of modern warfare. There are other routes. In any event, we can't shelter the world from such developments forever. Bombing Iraq is like the little dutch boy putting his finger in the dyke. Well, at least in my opinion.

I know, thats probably the wrong dyke huh;)

Maybe you should stop seeing criticism as hostility. Having blind faith in anything your government does isn't patriotism. Your government isn't your country.
