Just calling it like it is....don't like my opinion?...either prove me wrong or shut me up.

Don't take it all personal, Leslie. It's not like I'm saying that you're fostering such an atmosphere in the RW or even encouraging it... just that that's how it is.

I tried...almost a year ago..to start a 'good news' thread in here...asking people to post feel good stories in it. Silver Lining it got a grand total of 17 posts...most of them having SFA to do with good news.

1 thread out of 10 in the RW might be considered neutral or 'good news'... and I'm overstating that. Might be closer to 1 in 20.

What you're saying is that it could get worst if you stopped moderating it. I can see that.

What I'd like to see is for it to get better.

Rainbows??!? Rainbows? We're talking about that beautiful effect caused by rain defracting sunlight, right? Don't see a whole lotta rainbows around here... just different colours of shit being flung abouts. They make nice arcs as they travel towards their targets, but they're no more rainbows than the colours in water where gas is spilled can be called a rainbow.

You speak as if PiL is actively stopping people from speaking their will. Or... as if when given a choice, poison would be their favoured way of speaking... like it was natural.

Listen...you don't like PiL...fine. Don't visit it.

Baghdad, Iraq – Four vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices detonated in the Iraqi capital in the span of 90 minutes this morning. Initial reports indicate 26 people died in the blasts, with at least 21 more wounded.

The first attack occurred at approximately 7 a.m. near the Australian Embassy. Two Iraqis were killed, and two Australian Soldiers were among the wounded. An unknown number of Iraqis were also wounded in the attack.

Thirty minutes later, a car bomb detonated near the Al Alahi Hospital in central Baghdad. Initial reports indicate that 18 people died in the blast, including five Iraqi police. Another 15 Iraqis were reported wounded.

Says the man who is knocking the RW and talking about how to tried to change it...I'd have to say take your own advice on this one.

The RW is what it is. It has a very prominent warning in red. You don't like it the way it is don't come in here...it's just THAT easy! The RW is the way it is because the members make it that way, and if the people who post in here regularly choose to participate then they must get SOMETHING from it so just leave it be and let them have their fun.

Girl's parents were shot to death by US soldiers when the car she and her family were in failed to stop at a checkpoint. (I'm sure she'll get over it once they tell her it was a mistake.)

If your both going to act like little kids then you should be treated like ones.

The RW is a great BECAUSE it is one massive flame war/orgies and some of us like it just the way it is. The reason PiL doesn't have a massive free for all news section is because for starters the majority of the members a so far to the left it overpowers opposition very effectively. Also PiL simply isn't the same atmosphere as OTC and after several issues earlier in the year the moderators have become considerably more struck.

It would also seem obvious that because both sites share members that some if not a lot of topics spill over into each other or are posted twice. Besides you trying talking about nothing but music for a year and see how much anyone can come up with of interest.
