If Pot was legal and taxeable

how do you figure...they still didn't pay any taxes...so...mmm, guess not.

Who didn't pay any taxes?

Tax money gets used to house and feed pot smokers who shouldn't be in there and taxing marijuana would create new revenue.

so...mmm, guess so.

Make Pot legal Spark up Dude!

I've been a teetotaller for the last quarter century
I can't see any reason to drink alcohol
but if pot was made legal I'd prolly go back
to recreational use.

drink up for tomorrow we die

No going thru life stoned isn't good for anyone.
Drunk is even worse!

Bring back prohibition!
Make adultery a punishable offense like in the
Middle East while your at it.

did the bootleggers all get turned out after prohibition?
(not rhetorical, I don't know)

Legal pot would result in some really good smoke

Oh I could imagine buying some super powerful
smoke and trippin' out for hours.

There would have to be tax stamps if you grew your own
and sold it.

You should also consider the cost of government oversight and inspections for chemicals and fire hazards etc. Can't have anything go out with bug spray or other poisonous chemicals. -- certainly government oversight will be helpful.

Against personal freedoms I guess.

So since it's just as acceptable in countries with healthcare that is here that somehow indicates trouble?

If it does become legal, it should be illegal to use power hungry grow lights or triple price of their carbon offsets.
Good argument against the old-timey Metal Halide and High-Pressure Sodium lights.
Fortunately, there are compact flourescents these days that produce the same Lumens for a tiny fraction of the Wattage. That lowers the cost of production tremendously as well.
They also throw off a tiny fraction of the heat and aren't fire hazards.
All moot points if it were legal to grow outdoors.
