My lifelong motto is "question authority". We see the same facts & interpret them differently. I read shit from the local rag to teh NY Times to ArabNews & Ha'Aretz. I don't have a single source. TV news is for the weather & breaking news. It's driven by profit, not truth.

I'm not going to bother with the search, but I can catagorically state that I was not the first to level that charge in this forum. It has, however, become standard practice for the right wing to flaunt terms like "sheep" when refering to the left. This was a case where I asked Gonz for his thought and he made that statement. Considering how often I've been accused of not thinking for myself, I responded in kind. And suddenly its taboo....:disgust2:
 
It's not your statement that's "taboo", it's your targeting. You included quite a few people in your blanket condemnation who weren't guilty.
 
I only made that statement to Gonz. If you're referring to defending that statement, There are several who have said that to or about me or the left in general.

And you've done it several times in the last few days. I've chosen to ignore it because you & everyone else here knows it's false. I make a point of not using such far fetching rhetoric. It's possible, in a fit of anger, I've said simlilar but I don't recall. I'd appreciate it ending, now.

That was my point another day. I can't think of any of the reasons you claim as just for starting a war with Iraq that can't be applied to China aswell.
 
it's not smart to piss off one sixth of the world population...
besides that, the Chinese have a much bigger and better army than Iraq has ever had

Ok, you can do nothing to stop them, but what about at least not giving "Favored Nation Status"? That sounds a little hypocrite(sp?) don't you think? Am I the only one who doesn't see criteria here?

Gonz, I've been bitching about politics since the early seventies.
It has always been hypocritical, I think it always will be. Some things have gotten better though. I guess I'm an idealist, I continue to hope we won't destroy ourselves.
