I don't know if its true or not, but I've heard drinking orange juice helps with the flavor issue as well. Like I said, can't confirm it directly, except to say that the wife always makes sure there is orange juice in the house.

I don't think anything helps really. At least I haven't noticed any differences.

Drinking jamaica water makes them smell sweet, I suppose they would taste different too.
