His personal aspirations and beliefs regarding jews, homosexuals and gypsies became reality instead of the musings of an unknown painter. If he hadn't been elected, the whole Nazi party would not have garnered the power to do that much damage. Like him or not, Adolf was a very powerful presence and influential figure, replacing a weak leader. He changed the path that Germany was taking forever.
 
War of the Worlds. Proved how convincing mass media can be OR it proved how gullible the masses are. Either way, the world hasn't been the same since.
