Military hardware (56k warning)

Old School firepower:

Neat huh?
Those are eight actual dummy warheads re entering and
impacting near the Kwajalein Atoll
California and Kwajalein are far apart huh?
Awe that's what that image evokes!
It is beautiful and sinister at the same time.
Something that makes one shiver in fear
with the realization that each of those beautiful arcs could have ended in 300 kiloton thermo-nuclear explosion.
Eight cities and tens if not hundreds of millions of people reduced to ashes.
Also it is an excellent engineering feat the accuracy of the weapon system is insane.

Wow I ran a search and found that we recently
tested one again?
I mistakenly thought we'd gotten rid of all of the Peacekeepers already.

It really isn’t a ‘military system’ more like the hand of God or perhaps the Devil? lol

Vandenberg/Lompoc is covered by the same TV network affiliates as Atascadero, so when they launch something it makes the news here and I see it.

I've always thought it would be really, really cool to buy a missile silo and convert it into my house.

It might be a good idea to get ahold of all countries at ICBM status & inform them that you're address needs to be marked as INACTIVE :D

Oh no!
The A-bomb has been one of the greatest war prevention devices created by man.
Better living through technology!

I agree. I also know teh first third of all long range missiles target silo's.

I love the possible conversation between a couple of guys wanting to invent one.

You know what'd be cool...

Take a rifle

no, take 5 rifles

strap 'em together

find a stick

lay it in such a way that it pulls the trigger
of all 5 guns

at once

Dude, you're a genius.
