One Victory

I still think that the heteros of the world have done far more to destroy the morals of society than the gays could ever do.

Yes, they most certainly have. Does that mean we shouldn't try and stem the tide? Preserve what little is left?

Hell if it feels bad like dousing yerself in gasoline
and striking a match let's do that too.

We can always claim we are a victim
and sue the gasoline container manufacturers!

No, it's natural. I don't see any gay dogs, buffalo, penguins or anything besides humans. Hence, it must be a choice. If the courts make special provision for lifestyle choices, it must be considered a priviledge. No?

there are gay monkeys....and penguins

More importantly, tho. I don't see how refusing to wed to people of the same gender is discriminatory. Two straight men can't get married anymore than two gay men can. Where's the descrimination? Otherwise every pair of roommates is gonna sign up for the tax/medical/insurance/pension benefits.

so, a male and female roommate can do the same then

But none of them try to reproduce, like human gays ..... do they?
I think most gays realize they can't reproduce. I would be willing to bet that there are gay caretakers, even in the animal world.

The main thing that set humans "apart" from animals though is the level of "reasoning".
Take reasoning out of it, and you take civilization out of it.

Male ostriches have not been seen actually having sex, unlike male flamingo pairs, who mate, build nests and sometimes rear foster chicks.
Male black swans court and form stable pairs. With two males, they are able to defend huge territories from other swan couples, which sounds like a double-income-no-kids situation except that they often manage to wangle some eggs from somewhere -- all right, they steal them -- and become model parents, twice as successful as straight parents.

I'm referring to stuff like Sperm donation, and lesbian in-vitro. IMHO, gay genes aren't meant to survive. Personally, I place them right around the level of worker ants/bees and drones.

ouch!

wehave had this discussion before, it's not a bigot thing, it's about survival to you, but they exist, and deserve rights
